The Training Specialist works under direction only as needed and is responsible for the instructional design process of all phases of the ADDIE model (analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate), and curriculum management. Also responsible for facilitating classes for multiple business units as needed.
Conducts analysis to determine training needs; designs training for a variety of business units using a variety of modalities (instructor led classroom and webinar, self paced e-learning, self paced paper);develops training materials such as course materials, facilitator guides, reference materials and develops e-learning and webinar activities. Evaluates the effectiveness of training by designing and developing evaluation tools; analyzes data and communicates recommendations to business units. Will also audit existing content on an ongoing basis and determine recommendations and implements changes to course or curriculum.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years experience in a major corporate training environment working on instructional design assignments across multiple teams or groups.
- Demonstrates intermediate facilitation skills and advanced facilitation skills in non classroom environment (client meetings)
- Demonstrates intermediate design skills in all phases of instructional design.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of e-learning development software
- Demonstrates working knowledge of project management and basic ability to lead and manage low complexity projects across multiple teams
- Demonstrates sound judgment in resolving matters of moderate complexity.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, experience in communicating effectively with a diverse group of associates and senior business leaders.
- Acquires, maintains and applies knowledge of various business units
- Identifies areas for improvement within the Training department, makes recommendations and implements solutions
- Assesses and coaches other training associates on all aspects of their role.
