Instructional Designer – Bath & Body Works

PURPOSE

The Instructional Designer conducts assessments, designs, develops, and evaluates learning interventions that drive results against company strategy and the customer in-store experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

'Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) and stakeholders to clearly understand target audience and content needs to construct learning and performance outcomes.
'Report and validate skills and competency gaps by creating and conducting needs and performance analysis, articulates results to stakeholders and identifies learning solutions.
'Tie content and learning design to needs and performance analysis data.
'Apply adult learning theories, instructional design systems, and creative approaches to develop learning programs that achieve program objectives and meet the needs of the target audience.
'Create intellectually challenging and personally engaging learning experiences that integrate multiple delivery channels, including but not limited to instructor-led, experiential, online, and mobile learning.
'Assist with creating detailed and attainable project plans that include tracking, milestones, deliverables, and communication/review cadences.
'Author agendas, outlines, presentations, storyboards, process-oriented documentation, and all other supporting course materials.
'Ensures smooth transition from final material design to implementation of program
'Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key subject matter expert groups to ensure alignment across business functions.

'Strong organizational skills; detail and process oriented
'Ability to handle multiple, complex projects
'Proven success at establishing rapport with business partners at multiple levels, working on larger teams, and collaborative work habits
'Demonstrated ability to act as a consultant, including skills to probe for understanding, identify issues/opportunities, suggest win-win conflict resolution
'Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading

EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE

'BS/BA in Instructional Systems, Learning Design, Instructional Technologies or related field/relevant degree
'Retail background, store selling/operations experience preferred
'4-7 years experience in instructional design and curriculum development
'Advanced Microsoft Office application skills
'Travel requirements
