Instructional Designer
This position will be located at our Englewood, Colorado office. Designs and develops training material that adheres to recognized adult learning principles and theories. Responsibilities include developing new curriculum and revising outdated curriculum, designing and developing instructor guides and student study material incorporating exercises and activities that maximize learning potential and increase retention of knowledge. This material supports DIRECTV Home Services/HSP Field Operations and includes subjects such as basic installation of hardware, customer education, new products and services, advanced products and other topics as assigned. This position requires the utilization of video cameras and editing equipment to evaluate existing and new training modules and delivery techniques. Duties include, but are not limited to: Follows accepted Instructional Systems Design processes to design and develop training materials. Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs and recommends modifications to training programs as needed based on performance, business goals and objectives. Researches and assesses technical and soft skill training needs, establishes objectives, and designs curricula to meet the business and technical needs. Collaborates with project managers, technical experts and associates to ensure proper training design, consistent delivery techniques and technical accuracy. Performs other duties as assigned.
