Job Summary:
Responsibilities include developing training plans and designing/writing course materials to assist with the proper execution of strategic training objectives. This position will work with management to determine the relevance of training materials and process and will proactively coordinate new training.
Essential Functions:
• Develop thorough, working knowledge of all PRIMEDIA Inc. products and services
• Work with functional program teams to assess and focus training needs by conducting front-end analysis, needs assessments, and strategic learning assessments
• Interview and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to gather requirements to design and develop learning and training solutions
• Design curriculum including developing learning objectives, course outlines, case studies, measurement tools, student materials, on-line content, learning resources, and other materials to support learning
• Design solutions for use with mobile technologies such as smart phones and tablets
• Set up continual measurements of training to demonstrate effectiveness and measure for process improvements
• Properly manage all projects associated with course development and implementation
• Proactively revise and enhance online training deliverables
• Consistently deliver training materials on time and within budget
• Utilize social networks and elearning platforms to train remote employee

Qualifications:
Qualifications, Training, and Experience:
• Four (4) year degree in related field or certification in Instructional Design or related field
• 5-7 years experience with the development of web-delivered solutions is required
• Experience with appropriate learning technologies (ex. Flash, Lectora, Dreamweaver, Articulate, Captivate)
• Must have knowledge of instructional design principles/practices, including adult learning theories, interactive training, and learning designs
• Must be able to logically and organize information and transform bodies of information into professionally designed, engaging, and effective programs
• Must have proven skills in audience and content analysis as well as presentation design experience
• Ability to work on multiple, complex projects
• Ability to design, develop and implement training program using multiple delivery methods
• Exceptional project management skills including, follow-up skills
• Experience with large-scale organizational learning initiatives preferred
• Strong ability to continually prioritize changing project tasks/deliverables
• Excellent written and verbal communications, including technical writing
• Ability to proof read and edit course content
