Summary:
The Instructional Solutions Designer (ISD) designs innovative learning products that are instructionally sound and accurate, and that engagingly convey content, in support of CAPdL. **This position is contingent upon Task Order award and Funding**.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Conducts learning analyses to gain content and target audience knowledge for a given project.
· Designs learning products in accordance with a project’s vision and design, based on specific content gathering and analysis activities.
· Collaborates closely with Senior Knowledge Solutions Designers to plan and consult on all design activities.
· Communicates and works directly with the client content experts in support of development efforts.
· Other duties as assigned to meet business/operational needs.
Supervision: This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:
An undergraduate degree in instructional design, education, communication, English, training, new media, psychology, or related field is required. Additionally, the ISD generally has at least two years of related work experience.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Shareable Content Object Reference Module (SCORM) is needed. Knowledge and understanding of Section 508 of the Disabilities Act and Compliance as well as experience in adult education with emphasis on distance learning are highly desired. Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including: MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Outlook and SharePoint.

Clearance: At minimum, a single scope background investigation will be conducted.

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
