Instructional Systems Designer (Job Number:301506) Description: The Mission Support Business Unit of SAIC has a current opening for an Instructional Systems Designer. POSITION SUMMARY: The Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) will design, develop and deliver courses and performance support tools for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Security Division (Sec D) and for other branches and divisions at FBI. The technologist will implement changes to current content, design storyboards to create compliance and knowledge-based training, read and interpret storyboards and design plans, create quizzes and knowledge checks, and author courseware using rapid development software. The educational technologist will work with closely with Sec D project managers to conduct functional tests of draft courseware on the learning management system staging servers and follow established processes to integrate courseware into JIVU. Qualifications: MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree and 6+ years professional experience or equivalent amount of experience in lieu of degree may be considered. Academic training in analyzing, designing and developing training and educational content for web-based delivery Familiarity with instructional design principles and ability to apply instructional design models to develop relevant and high quality training DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Academic training in instructional technologies associated with online learning including experience using state-of-the-art development software applications and course management systems: Knowledge of rapid eLearning development software, including Articulate (Presenter, Engage, QuizMaker, Video Encoder), Captivate, RoboHelp, Adobe Presenter, Raptivity, and Adobe Acrobat Basic knowledge of HTML and experience using HTML editors such as Dreamweaver Knowledge of graphic design principles and experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications, specifically Photoshop and Fireworks Knowledge of learning management systems (Plateau, Blackboard) and online collaboration tools (AdobeConnect) SAIC Overview:
