ELECTRICAL MECHANIC

We are currently seeking an Instrument and Electrical Mechanic in our Bishop, TX plant.
Under the direction of the Maintenance Team Leader or his/her designee, the Instrument and Electrical Mechanic will repair all equipment of the Operating Unit in order to meet requirements as stated in related Standard Maintenance Procedures using the Work Processes. In your role you will be expected to calibrate, install and maintain instrument or power systems and sustain complex control systems including various shut down systems used for process measurement and control in Manufacturing Units. You must also guarantee compliance with all applicable company standards, laws, policies, procedures and regulations and ensure the safety of personnel as well as maintenance of the equipment.
To qualify for this position, a High School education or equivalent and an Associates Degree or better in Electrical, Electronics or Instrument Technology OR equivalent experience (five years experience as a journeyman IandE Mechanic) are required. You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; communicate well with other mechanics and staff personnel; demonstrate a fluency in English; work
as a team and in an empowered workgroup under minimal supervision; read SMP and other manuals in English; demonstrate excellent troubleshooting/ Root Cause Analysis skills and problem solving skills; exhibit a high attention to detail and a desire to excel and achieve optimal results. You must also be able to work 10 hours, 4 days/week with some scheduled weekend duty and work overtime when required.
To be considered for this position, you must have knowledge of control systems; various shutdown systems including Triconex and Allen Bradley PLC logic; SAP; process, laboratory and mechanical operations and regulatory requirements. Experience with safe work permits and 5 years as a journeyman IandE Mechanic are desired. The ideal candidate will also have previous experience in a leadership position and previous emergency response experience.
