Instrument & Controls Engineer Job in Bakersfield, California Us

Develop instrument and control material requisitions, get vendor quotations for instrumentation. Work with the Client to develop instrument standard specifications and standard instrument installation drawings. Perform field investigations for existing instrumentation and assist with startup and troubleshooting of new control systems.
* Designs or oversees design of:
- Control Valves and Regulators
- Gas and Liquid Flow Meters
- Process Fluid liquid and gas analyzer systems
- Level Gauging and Level Transmitter systems
- PLC and DCS Control Panels
* Develop PID's and Process Flow Diagrams
* Develop Instrument Index Sheets and Instrument Data Sheets
* Develop Control Narratives and Cause Effect Diagrams
* Support design and drafting team members in the development of all instrument and control systems related to the production, handling, processing, metering and shipping of oil, gas, water, and steam

* Working experience in Upstream (production) oil gas background a plus but will consider those with downstream (refining) experience
* Proficient with relief valve sizing studies/calculations
* Proficient with sizing of control valves, flow meters and regulators
* Familiarity with applicable codes like ISA, NEC, IEEE, API, etc.
* Working knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, Project, etc.)
* Strong desire to learn and work in a team environment
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Legal authorization to work in the USA on a full-time basis
* P.E. license preferred
