Lone Star Transportation, LLC is seeking an energetic and motivated Insurance Claims Assistant to help grow our company to the next level. The individual selected for this position will work out of our Abilene, Texas facility. This position emphasizes processing auto liability claims. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year auto liability insurance experience related to Commercial Trucking.

Some of the duties include:
- Processes accident calls, inputs claim details into the claims database, sets funding reserves for expected claims cost, notifies management group of First Accident and Daily Claims information.
- Works directly with insurance companies on Liability, Physical Damage, and Occupational Accident claims.
- Requests payment for claim expenses such as attorney fees, repair shops, medical treatments and wrecker services. Ensures these checks are properly coded and sent to the appropriate recipient.
- Assist Risk Manager with reviewing and updating Loss Runs and end of month reporting for accounting.
The qualified Candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Strong administrative and organizational skills is a must
- Experience using an AS400 computer software application for trucking a big plus
- Strong Data entry required – 10 key by touch
