Insurance Financial Accountant recruitment
Key responsibilities:
- Controlling revenue and expense postings to the General Ledger from accruals and manual journals
- Controlling and posting manual invoices including credit control and ageing
- Reconciling revenue and expenses to source subsystems
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts including ageing
- Preparing revenue and expense reports for analysis by FPA
Support the Accounting Manager in delivering effective Financial Reporting and Controls by:
- Completing activities within the financial reporting process to time and without material errors and working to resolve internal and external audit issues
- Reconciling revenue and expenses (including accruals) to source subsystems
- Preparing aged reconciliations for non-fiduciary balance sheet accounts
- Understanding and consistently applying revenue and expense recognition policies
- Keep up to date with IFRS; UK and US GAAP reporting standards
Successful candidate profile:
- Insurance industry experience preferred
- Qualified Accountant (or overseas equivalent)
- Working experience of preparing accounts according to US GAAP, UK GAAP and IFRS
- Excellent communication skills
