Insurance Sales Associate Director recruitment

Position Overview
The Insurance Sales Associate Director is responsible for new business development in the Insurance vertical sector. This position will have a focus on new logos and be based in London. The goal will be to close 1-3 deals each year in order to achieve sales target. They will develop and maintain business development campaigns and work with a Client Partner and team that will support all sales pursuits. Achieve profitability, contribution and collection norms.

The Role
To build credibility gain market share in the territory
To ensure you achieve the quarterly and annual targets, across the mix of all of Cognizant's business to include the professional services and consulting lines of business
To open new clients within the relevant industry
To promote and sell the Cognizant portfolio of IT and consulting services
Work with account teams, client partners and other team members as required
Develop in-depth understanding of these products and related solutions
Communicate the value the bring in solving business problems
Achieve high customer satisfaction and references and case studies to support future sales.
Identifying prospective clients creating the go to market plan for the identified territory understanding of technology and the industry vertical.
Knowledge of domain area in order to strategize craft solutions (along with pre-sales teams) to match customer needs is essential.
Generating business from campaigns and plans to penetrate competition accounts new accounts and build a platform to scale these into multimillion dollar engagements
Attend and man road shows, seminars and exhibitions
Provide accurate information/reports to Head of Sales within agreed time scales
Complete necessary internal administration (monthly reports) and prepare appropriate letters/proposals/sales visits documentation for customers
Attend periodic sales meetings
Liaise closely with the Cognizant delivery team(s), to provide pre and post-sales support and assistance to customers as required
Keep up to date with new supplier products and releases. Develop and manage excellent working partnerships with individual supplier Sales People (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Pega and other products relevant to the industry)

Skills Experience
A successful and strong track record in opening and winning business at new clients accounts/logos and in winning new business in existing house accounts
Track record of success selling deals in the $1m to $20m TCV range
A history of regularly achieving multi-million sales quota
A successful track record in selling a broad IT service portfolio, encompassing consulting, applications development and maintenance, IT infrastructure services and BPO, into new accounts
Good knowledge of vertical market and key drivers
Experience with onsite/offshore model and working in a multi-cultural environment
Understanding of the selling life cycle including demonstrated ability to build/close a funnel/pipeline over an extended period
Experienced working collaboratively with marketing team and internal key stakeholders
Possess excellent communication skills and demonstrates proven capability to build relationships at all levels especially at the CxO level.
Comfortable and confident calling at the CIO, COO CFO levels of target companies
Analytical and keeps up to date with market and technology trends
Consultative sales style, creative thinking with a pragmatic approach
Results orientated and highly organised

Travel
This is a UK Ireland wide role and therefore will require regular national travel with some international travel as and when required.

Skills

Ideal candidate will have MBA or equivalent level in relevant subject area
