Insurance Testing Vertical Service Lead - Director
Manage and grow the Test Service team for the insurance vertical in the UK. This includes the profit and loss responsibility for the testing revenue in the vertical. As part of a larger delivery practice Testing provides a provision of services to deliver independent validation and verification of IT systems. This is delivered through a global test team of over 20,000 employees. The UK management team acts as a horizontal function supporting delivery of existing business through industry verticals or pre sales support for new business generation.
Key Accountabilities:
Define and execute the strategy of the Insurance testing vertical guided by the regional management and in accordance with the company and practice goals and strategy in addition to the demand of the different countries in the region
Build, grow and mange the team in the UK
Drive alignment with the regional stakeholders and offshore about the strategy to ensure synergies and efficiency during execution
Govern the execution process and make suggestions for tuning and adjusting the strategy based on the results and feedback from the market
Support and drive operational excellence across all insurance accounts in the UK
Build structures and define processes together with the different stakeholders in the region to support the delivery execution and make sure that the Cognizant culture is understood and lived throughout the region
Support reporting and information flow across the region and with the different parts of the organization to maintain an open and effective communication
Skills Experience Required:
Good understanding of the UK testing market, the competitive landscape and the client demand in the European market
Good understanding of UK Insurance markets - business challenges and opportunities
Outstanding communication and people skills
Ability to influence decisions and build and maintain credibility quickly
Strategic thinker, who has a vision for the future of testing and is able to 'think out of the box'
Meticulous worker who gets things done and has a 'whatever it takes' attitude.
Should have had a background as a Test Manager working in an on/offshore delivery model
Other:
Must be 100% flexible to travel as and when required across UK and Europe

Professional Testing Certification will be an extra advantage
