Description of position The Integration Architect will support Costcorsquo;s enterprise application modernization initiative and work with the Enterprise Architecture team, domain level architecture teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to develop, validate, communicate and implement coordinated integration strategies and architectures. Tasks and responsibilities - Lead the definition of Costcorsquo;s Integration Architecture vision - Lead the definition, documentation, and implementation of company-wide Integration standards, processes, and procedures - Lead the integration architecture Center of Excellence (CoE) - Lead the development of application portfolio standardization plans and best practices - Analyze the current IT portfolio to identify opportunities for improvements such as expanding capacity, reducing complexity, reducing time and cost, and increasing effectiveness - Develop conceptual and detailed architectural plans, and work with internal and external resources to drive the plans to completion - Evaluate and select technical solutions based on business requirements and standards - Research and present industry best practices to IT and business stakeholders at all levels - Analyze integration architecture performance Required experience, skills, abilities, and certifications - Experience in establishing Integration CoErsquo;s or similar organizations - Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments - Very strong experience with cloud integration technology - Very strong experience with enterprise service bus (ESB) and service oriented architectures (SOA) - Very strong in Event Driven Integration Architecture - Very strong in the Identification and Standardization of Integration Patterns - Very strong written and verbal communication skills - Very strong experience with technical team leadership - Strong ability to drive decisions through consensus and to influence change - Strong ability to design pragmatic solutions to complex business problems - Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies - Strong understanding of project management techniques - Solid experience troubleshooting complex tasks and processes - Solid experience with change management processes - 7+ yearsrsquo; experience in integration patterns, best practices and implementing SOA concepts leveraging commercial products - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Working knowledge of UML, SQL, JMS, SOAP/WSDL - 5-7+ years of Data and Information Architecture Experience, Enterprise Architecture Frameworks and Design Patterns - Experience with Web services, REST Services, Process Orchestration, ESB and Data Virtualization Systems - Very strong experience incorporating enterprise security policies and technology into the integration architecture, standards and guidelines Recommended experience, skills, abilities, and certifications - Strong experience with master data management (MDM). - Understanding of Enterprise-wide common information domain modeling - 5-7 years working with Data Integration, ETL, Warehousing, BI, Data Management and Data Modeling Technologies - Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF - Deep knowledge of the IBM SOA and cloud technology (DataPower, WebSphere Service Registry and Repository, Cast Iron, BPM, MessageBroker, MDM, Sterling) - Technical certifications (Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, TOGAF, ITIL etc.) - B.S.+ in Computer Science or related field of study To Apply: Email your current resume to IT_JOBS@costco.com .
