Group Finance includes central finance areas, specialist teams and divisional finance teams which supporting our front-line businesses. Our specialist teams are; Group Chief Accountant's, Group Corporate Finance, Group Finance Business and Executive Support, Group Financial Planning and Analysis, Group Internal Audit, Global Services Finance, Group Strategy, Group Tax, Group Treasury, and Investor Relations.
The RBS Finance Risk Systems Transformation (FiRST) programme is a business critical, multi-year operations and technology initiative to integrate Group level Finance, Risk and Treasury systems for RBS.
Your role as Integration Chief Architect will be to support the overall Chief Architect in defining, implementing and managing the integration architecture and related data exchanges across the whole of the FiRST solution. And between the FiRST solution and the broader RBS IT Estate, and also act as part of the Architecture Management Team, attending team and Leadership meetings in addition to representing the Architecture team within key programme governance. As the Integration Chief Architect you'll need to utilise your extensive experience and knowledge of effective integration strategies and practice crossing multiple technology platforms (including Oracle, Mainframe, IBM). You’ll have the ability to leverage your domain knowledge to accelerate complex problem solving. You'll also contribute with solution specific expertise by developing data interchange and control designs for large volume and complex data movement functions between FiRST Oracle products like e-Business Suite, OFSAA, OBIEE-plus and Hyperion. You’ll ensure that all data requirements for RBS reporting are based upon optimal utilisation of the Oracle capabilities in a way that meets business needs. And provide leadership, with regards to generally accepted architectural practices and techniques. You’ll ensure that integration architecture framework and principles are embedded within the broader FiRST Architecture Framework. Further responsibilities for you as Integration Chief Architect include: architecture collaboration, vendor collaboration and senior stakeholder communication.
As Integration Chief Architect, you'll have strong functional and technical competency in integration and data solutions across complex operational landscapes. You'll have performed a similar Architecture lead role in another major blue chip organisation. Additionally you'll have strong senior stakeholder management experience, and a proven track record of full programme life cycle delivery. You'll also have Oracle eBusiness Suite and Oracle Business Intelligence solutions implementation experience. You’ll be an SME in all aspects of technical / application integrations and middleware technologies (specifically that of Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Application Integration Architecture, Oracle Process Integration Packs, Siebel EAI, ESB, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Weblogic, etc.) It would be desirable to have experience working in partnership with consulting firms, and a good comprehension of Finance, Risk and Treasury functions, in a banking environment.
