Summary:
A multinational investment bank is looking for a Business Analyst to join this rapidly growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the business analyst/project manager for client engagements.
- Manage project scope and timeline to ensure all deliverables meet established quality standards and client expectations. Act as the primary client point of contact.
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements gathering meetings, surveys, use cases, scenarios, task/workflow analysis
- Evaluate information gathered and develop recommendations based on experience gathered from past client engagements
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with clients and internal partners to analyze information needs and functional requirements
- Develop and document project artifacts, as needed, using standard templates (e.g. Business Requirements Document, Conformance Tests, Project Status Reports)
- Accountable for project success and the resolution of all issues that arise during the project life cycle.
- Provide project status to client on a frequent basis, as specified in the client contract.
- Support clients during client test activities.
- Monitor client progress during initial implementation rollout.
- Successfully engage in multiple client projects simultaneously.
- Communicate proactively and regularly with management regarding project status.
- Work closely with the Sales and Relationship Management teams to provide pre-sales support and project scoping.
- Prepare Statement of Work (SOW) describing the project scope, assumptions, deliverables, and estimated hours/schedule for the project.
- Make recommendations to enhance product functionalities generated during client implementation.
- Make recommendations to improve on existing procedures and methodologies and contribute to team best practices.
Requirements:
- University degree required
- 3+ years relevant experience, preferably in the Financial Services industry
- Understanding of the Institutional Trade Flow and Trade Processing business e.g. STP and current securities industry initiatives highly desired
- Experience with similar business/application messaging systems and protocols (e.g. FIX, SWIFT, XML) highly desirable
- Experience working for a vendor with strong external client facing capacity highly desirable
- Demonstrated project management and application integration skills required.
- Ability to interpret customer needs and translate them into defined business requirements
- Must have extensive client facing experience with proven ability to effectively manage client expectations and concerns
- Ability to communicate information/issues clearly and succinctly to technical/non-technical colleagues and clients
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
- Working knowledge of PC hardware/software and operating systems
- Demonstrated problem-solving capability and analytical skills
- Familiarity with on-line training and presentation platforms e.g. WebEx
- Must be fluent (written and verbal) in English Mandarin
- Professional, dedicated, and detail-oriented
- Able to multi-task and ensure projects reach each milestone
- Must be self-motivated and willing to expand skills and knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic Windows technical skills
