Raytheon Information Intelligence Systems (IIS) site in Aurora, Colorado has many exciting programs currently under development in the Defense and Civil Mission Solutions (DCMS) and Enterprise Intelligence Solutions (EIS) product lines. A few of the currently active programs in the DCMS area include: The Space and Environmental Mission Solutions (SEMS) Raytheon team is responsible for full life cycle engineering on state-of-the-art environmental, commercial, and sensing systems for government and commercial applications. These projects include Joint Polar Satellite Systems (JPSS), James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), Earth Observation Systems (EOS), and other exciting programs. In 2010, RTN was awarded the GPS advanced operational control segment (GPS OCX) for the United States Air Force to develop their next generation ground control system for flying and managing the legacy and next generation GPS satellite fleet!

The EIS Raytheon team is responsible for full life cycle engineering for government and commercial applications. EIS opportunities are primarily on classified programs that support the intelligence community. Capabilities include ground systems for GEOINT and SIGINT systems, large-scale data processing and exploitation storage architectures and high performance data handling and processing systems. Additionally, EIS provides expertise in large-scale systems development, integration and deployment of high-performance SIGINT and GEOINT systems, missions and resource management, information management, visualization, knowledge discovery and advanced analytics. Job Description:

The IVT Engineer position is responsible for the development and execution of plans to integrate, verify, and deploy high performance complex systems. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing integration, verification, and/or transition plans based on Concept of Operations (ConOps) document and requirements.

  • Reviewing system requirements for testability

  • Performing integration, verification, and/or activities of UNIX and Windows based systems.

  • Documenting results and working with teams of Systems Engineers, Software Engineers and Hardware Engineers to resolve problems.

    Duties include the opportunities for creative thinkers to identify innovative solutions/approaches to improve performance and gain efficiencies (e.g. the development of automated test scripts to perform automated testing). The IVT Engineer may be required to work overtime, weekend, and rotating shift assignments. Position requires the ability to travel long term for temporary assignments at off site locations.

    Required Skills:

  • Experience preparing and presenting reports and briefings both orally and written

  • Experience working within teams

    Desired Skills:

  • Experience using UNIX, Windows and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of scripting language(s)

  • Current and active Security Clearance

    Required Education:

    • Master's Degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or other engineering related scientific discipline
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (Please include GPA on resume)
