Bliss Home Design is California's premier source for unique luxury furnishings and award winning interior design services. Since 1972 we have been creating intriguing design through our award winning design firm. Priding ourselves on the atmosphere of our exotic design boutiques, we present luxury for the new millennium. We are looking for an Interactive Marketing Manager to become an integral team member in building, launching and managing our ecommerce business and website.
The Interactive Marketing Manager will function as a project manager, product manager and Marketing Manager and will develop and execute creative strategies and marketing initiatives including promotions, social media, online advertising, email campaigns and more. Manages external/internal corporate Web site content, directs all site maintenance and ensures the site meets the business needs of the organization. Responsible for interactive marketing, website/ecommerce content and functionality and supplier/product development and expansion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
WEBSITE STRATEGY and PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Manage Bliss Home and Design’s website working with senior marketing team on content and strategy.
- Manage interactive agencies, including project priorities, project hours and estimate/invoicing.
- Create solid website positioning strategy to retain customers and attract new ones. Establish and execute strategies to build brand, introduce product, generate leads and capture user data.
- Continuously evolve website as a destination for customers to learn, interact, and communicate with our organization.
- Develop a good understanding of our demographic, their profiles and why they buy from us. Carry out in online web/media strategy.
- Use interactive multimedia to build awareness and generate demand. Develop and implement methods for audiences to interact with our brand online. Enrich clients’ online experience and convert to buyers.
- Develop recommendation for integrating Intranet and Extranet into overall marketing strategies.
- Make functional and design recommendations for site – work with outside agencies for programming, content development and design.
- Insure that all designs are user-centric for a clear and logical self-service experience for customers.
- Liaise with IT department, other internal facing departments, and outside agencies to develop and execute internal or external projects.
- Manage internal and external marketing and website analytics, converting and presenting data as actionable information.
SUPPLIER AND PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
- Merchandise products on ecommerce website to achieve monthly product sales targets and ensure sell through of warehouse inventory.
- Develop compelling product promotions on internal and external websites and advertising media.
- Develop and manage site category strategy.
- Identify and forge working relationships with new suppliers to expand product selection.
- Manage direct purchase and drop ship supplier relationships.
MARKETING
- Act as brand guardian insuring all agencies and internal resources are within marketing guidelines.
- Use Internet-based technologies like forms, blogs, Wikis, email marketing and multimedia to communicate with and receive feedback from customers and prospective customers.
- Manage integrated online marketing programs to generate demand using email, banner ads, search marketing, landing pages and other innovative web tools.
- Utilize search including SEO and SEM to develop awareness and generate qualified website traffic.
- Lead search strategy, budget management and search analytics.
- Lead direct email marketing, making strategic recommendations to maximize impact and conversions. Track, analyze and make changes based upon metrics.
- Establish and maintain an effective online social media strategy.
- Stay current with social media trends and recommend and incorporate into strategy as appropriate to improve customer/media experience, as well as marketing efficiency.
- Use of social media as a communications channel with customers.
- Manage content on social media sites, keeping content current and accessible.
- Develop viral online marketing campaigns.
ANALYTICS
- Use web analytics to fine-tune and improve site’s performance. Analyze and interpret site traffic and usability to improve visitor experience, convert visitors into customers, maximize ROI of offline and online marketing programs
- Provide dashboards, metrics, and ROI for participation in social media.
- Perform usability testing to identify problem Web site areas and recommend resolutions.
- Use A/B and multi-variant testing for campaign performance and optimization.
OTHER
- Must react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business Administration, Web Design, Marketing, Computer Science or related field and 7 years of experience developing interactive marketing strategies required.
Desired Skills Experience
Experience in home furnishings, accessories and décor, particularly the high-end/luxury market, is a plus. Thorough understanding of marketing communications and creative services. Strong working knowledge of databases, list management and lead qualification and nurturing. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills necessary to closely monitor website marketing issues and find solutions. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with technical staff to efficiently solve problems. Supervisory skills necessary to train, aid, direct and motivate project teammates. Presentation and creative skills required. Experience working with interactive marketing agencies or web design companies required. Familiarity with search engine marketing, search engine optimization and Web technology. Track record in integrated social media marketing including blogs, blog relations, podcasting or other means of evangelizing on behalf of a large enterprise. Strong project management skills. Strong creative aesthetic and understanding of design. Leadership and coaching skills. Understanding of marketing strategy, web-based technologies and emerging media. Ability to work in team environment. Proactive, self-starter, good work ethic. Strong communication and reporting skills.
