Interest Rate Sales ( Banks / Buy side )
. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience selling G3 ( EUR / USD / GBP ) Interest Rate cash products ( government sovereign bonds / SSA’s / covered bonds / Treasuries ) to Real Money institutions based in the UK.
Minimal requirements:
- 5 years industry experience on an interest rate sales desk
- A proven track record of revenue generated selling G3 ( EUR / USD / GBP ) cash interest rate products
- A transferable list of UK-based institutional clients ( Real Money / Banks / Hedge Funds )
- Very good technical knowledge of Interest Rate cash products (government sovereign bonds / SSA’s / covered bonds / Treasuries )
- A background on a cash interest rate sales desk within an INVESTMENT BANK or on the BUY SIDE ( on a marketing or sales desk at an asset manager / fund etc )
Daily responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop relationships with UK-based institutional clients ( Real Money / Banks / Hedge Funds )
- Take orders and execute on behalf of clients
- Improve levels of business passing through desk, improving profitability
- Advise clients and provide them with trade ideas
- Mentor junior candidates
- Working closely with the fixed income and interest rate trading teams
- Working alongside the Head of Interest Rate Sales to increase and broaden UK Real Money institutional coverage
