Interim Finance Director

Working within the charity sector offers many challenges but is also highly rewarding and this particular charity works within a highly sensitive area providing much needed support when it is most needed. As with any organisation the Finance Director plays an integral part not just in the delivery of financial support but in the overall delivery of the valuable services provided both now and in the future.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive the post holder will be required to deliver and lead on the financial operations and to take a strategic and developmental overview of the finance needs of the charity. Responsibilities will include:

· Implement, refine and improve the financial strategy
· Lead the annual budgeting process
· Ensure that monthly management accounts and forecasts are produced to deadline
· Year end financial requirements are met and that annual accounts are produced
· Develop analysis of performance
. Manage the finance department and deliver organisation wide financial administration
· Manage the trading company and to manage surplus funds and review investments
· All tax obligations are met and all tax opportunities maximised, including management of the charity’s partial VAT recovery position

You will be a professionally qualified and experienced Finance Director with a proven track record within the charities or Not-for-Profit sector. You should also be in a position to start an interim assignment at very short notice.
