Interim Group Payroll Manager - Lincoln

One of Lincoln's Premier employers, are looking to recruit an Interim Group Payroll Manager for a period of 6 months, initially, with a view to longer term, to lead its busy payroll team. You will be responsible for providing a professional and comprehensive payroll and benefits service to the business, with responsibility for all monthly payrolls including UK, Jersey and Ireland. Managing a team of 5 you will have extensive knowledge of RTI, Auto Enrolment and also be responsible for financial and tax year end processes in relation to the payroll function.

Specific responsibilities include:

·Managing the Payroll Team, providing guidance and coaching where needed
·Overseeing all payrolls to ensure on time and accurate processing and payment
·Maintain departmental compliance with company procedures, employment law, current legislation and statutory reporting requirements including RTI and Auto Enrolment
·Liaising closely with Finance to ensure that all company reporting requirements are met
·Managing the full range of organisation's benefits offered to staff (UK and Ireland) including but not limited to healthcare, pensions, and childcare vouchers
·Co-ordinating P11D and PSA year end submissions
·Overseeing the payment of expense claims and ensuring compliance with HMRC rules
·Redundancy, compromise and settlement calculation and payment
·Developing and implementing new or revised policies/procedures
·Advising HR in relation to payroll related issues and HMRC compliance

The successful applicant will:
.be CIPP/IPPM qualified (ideally)
.have at least 5 years payroll management experience
.have extensive knowledge of payroll principles and practices
·possess extensive knowledge of UK Employment and HMRC legislation including PAYE, expenses benefits and year end procedures, and ideally with knowledge of Irish and Jersey legislation being an advantage
·be inquisitive - problem resolution, production and enhancement of policies and procedures.
·be self motivated with a willingness to develop skills and experience
·actively discourage negativity; instead promote positive attitudes to embrace change in order to strive for constant improvement.
·have the ability to be effective under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines
·be a Team player with good leadership and interpersonal skills
·possess excellent IT skills with EXCEL skills at an intermediate or advanced level
·display attention to detail and accuracy
.experience of TUPE would be an advantage

Interviews will take place week commencing 14th and 21st October, with a start date no later than the start of November.
