Summary of this rare West Kent opportunity:

 

A six month interim opportunity to support the Finance Director in managing the day to day and project activities of the Finance team, to meet business demands. Initially your role will have a particular focus on the year end process, business planning and ICAAP process review.

 

There is the potential for this role to become a permanent appointment following a successful contract.

 

With the Finance Director spending circa 90% of their time in London, this is a superb opportunity to make a direct and positive impact on this expanding financial services business.

Responsibilities include:

 

·         Lead, motivate and develop direct reports towards achieving a first class finance capability and full recognition by the business as a valued partner, within the context of a tightly maintained control environment

·         Implement appropriate financial policies and functional strategy to meet the needs of the business and to help deliver the firm’s objectives

·         Design, implement and ensure consistent, high quality and timely delivery of key financial management information, performance indicators and financial modelling solutions needed to allow the business to make sound decisions and to improve the financial performance of the business

·         Manage the annual business planning and budget process, and quarterly forecast processes

·         Manage the annual financial statements and audit processes

·         Develop and manage the ICAAP process

·         Maintain awareness of external developments in terms of competitor activity, industry best practice, accounting standards and regulatory advancements and where relevant reflect these in the functional strategy

·         Proven MA experience

·         Financial management at group and operating company level ensuring:

·         Appropriate accounting policies

·         Adequate and appropriate operational structures, processes, procedures, controls

·         Compliance with current and evolving technical accounting and regulatory requirements

·         Intelligent management information and accounting including product and client profitability and forecasting reporting

·         Monitoring of company cash flow, debt service and debtor balances

·         Adequate Financial Resources for regulatory requirements and allocation of capital against risk

·         Efficient use of shareholder equity, subordinated debt and senior bank debt in order to achieve business objectives

·         Appropriate accounting for and funding of share capital requirements and equity based incentive schemes in close liaison with Company Secretary
