INTERIM HEAD OF INVESTOR RELATIONS – FTSE 250 MINING COMPANY recruitment
Our client, a UK listed pure play mining company, is seeking an interim Head of Investor Relations (mid to late March 2012 - early September 2012). The role will be based in central London and will involve direct responsibility for writing and producing the front half of the interim report, quarterly production results as well as writing the Company’s 1Q IMS statement. In addition the applicant will have to deal with day to day IR requirements such as analyst queries. Strong writing and power point skills are essential together with a solid financial background and knowledge of the mining or natural resources sector is preferable.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Primary responsibility for writing market announcements (including IMS, AGM statement, interim results and production reports) and verifying all factual information within the announcements
- Writing the Chairman CEO’s statement, business review and CFO review of the company’s interim report and subsequently holding the pen for suggested changes following internal and external review
- Primary responsibility for organisation of analyst attendance for the interim results meeting and for drafting the interim analyst presentation
- Primary responsibility for organisation of the interim results roadshow for equity and debt investors attended by CEO CFO
- Primary responsibility for investor relations and corporate communications
- Work with PR agencies to arrange media interviews with CEO CFO for interim results
- Oversee the monthly investor relations exco report to ensure the management are up to date with the IR function and the City’s views on the sector and the Company
- Monitor analysts’ forecasts both before and after the interim results, ensure the consensus database is updated and work with the CFO to guide expectations as appropriate
- Primary responsibility for updating the website to comply with LSE requirements
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent writing and power point skills
- Strong communications skills
- A strong financial background
- Thorough understanding of equity and bond capital markets
- Sound knowledge of the mining or natural resources sector preferable
