Interim Payroll Manager – Fixed Term Contract recruitment
Senior Payroll Manager - Interim is required to come on board at Cognizant.
The role would be based as part of the internal payroll team in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for collating and processing the data for the monthly payroll of 4 Cognizant company entities -CTS, GSL, Ireland and Jersey.
- Supporting and managing two administrators
- Assist with processing of all external reporting requirements for payroll.
- Assist with the closure of each tax year and delivery of all legislative forms relating to payroll and benefits-P11d , PSA
- Management of the payroll software ensuring that it is kept up to date (if applicable )
- Responding effectively and efficiently to all information requests from internal and external customers via People Line and various external systems
- Ensuring accurate calculation of manual payments from gross to net if requested
- Ensuring that payroll processes and controls are operated in according with SOX policies
- Ensuring that employee loans and advances are correctly controlled and managed working with both local and Indian Finance
- Provision of payroll advice for the business, for acquisitions and general legislative information
- To provide ad hoc support for payroll related initiatives and projects.
- Assist with the reconciliation of the balance accounts to payroll transactions.
- Assist with any required implementations relative to Payroll and supporting systems
Personal Qualities
- Proven experience of managing UK/EU payrolls
- Previous experience of Employer Services Limited (ESL) services is strongly preferred
- Experience of managing growing payrolls.
- The ability to move on requests and change processes quickly
- Delivering to time and accurately
- Customer orientated approach
- Working with a variety of cultures and nationalities as per the Cognizant business model.
- Experience in implementing payrolls
