Intermediate Business Consultant, Pharmacy Systems

The IT Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing and delivering solutions as well as supporting the processing in/out of the pharmacy systems. Responsibilities include: - Release Mangement: Develops both quality and acceptance criteria for software deployment into multiple environments. Ensure quality criteria are established and met before software is delivered. Includes: Vendor Upgrades / Enhancements (New Vendor GUI / Security, New Extract Roll-Out, Release Management into Prod, Test and Production Stablization) - Production Support: Identify opportunities for operation improvement through troubleshooting issues in a production environment. Support business operations in production stabilization of pharmacy systems. - Production Support - Connectivity Issues - KP Membership PBM Issues - PBM Membership Processing Issues - PBM File Issues (Transfers, Data Elements, Late Files, etc.) -Deployment / Cutover Management - Release Mgmt - Deployment Planning - Cutover Coordination - Adhere to SOX requirements / controls. - Adhere to HIPAA and Kaiser guidelines on management of PHI and MPII. - Maintain and build relationships with internal IT, business operation, regional departments and vendors to deliver standard software solution in support of pharmacy activities. - The Benefits Membership PBM team has ownership and accountability in the following areas. - Partners with Pharmacy Business Leads and Business Vendor Mgmt leads - PBM Processes SMEs - Requirements / Solution documents - Financials - Directs any development work with PBMs - Eligibility/Group Claims extracts ( National and Regional) - Coordinates development work within Kaiser Permanente - NCRS Jobs - Membership/Benefits Support - Provides analytical support/services to Kaiser downstream systems - Coordinates any data exchanges with all Kaiser downstream systems (including regional systems) - Testing Support - Test Scenario / Test Case (SME role) - Works with both WIT, SIT and regional testers - Data Setup / Coordination - Testing environments - Old and New PIMs - Test Extract Coordination - FTP Sites - Job Scheduling Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience in Pharmacy Operations, Health Care Administration, Public Health Administration - Minimum of 2 years of Informatics and business expertise on pharmacy benefits (particularly with Pharmacy Business Management) and membership interfaces. - Proven background in working collaboratively in and with highly matrixed, cross-functional teams on a national basis. - Ability to assess downstream system impacts. - Partnering with IT, Business and vendor stakeholder to identify requirements and potential solutions for new development as well as troubleshooting issues in a production environment. - Strong verbal and written communications skills PreferredQualifications: - Knowledge of batch and real-time interfaces of industry standards. - Expertise in pharmacy benefit designs for products such as Medicare, HDHP/HSA, Self funding and Value-Based products. - Working knowledge of NCPDP standards - Knowledge of standard PBM services such as network management, call center support and clinical/formulary support.
