We have an immediate need for an Intermediate Controls Engineers
JOB DESCRIPTION
Intermediate Engineer for control system projects in the oil and gas, refining, and petro-chemical industries. Relocation is not available. Approximately 30% travel is expected
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Team participation in control systems modernization projects involving the latest technology available in automation digital control and safety systems.
- Work with Process and Instrument Diagrams, maintain field instrumentation indexes and instrument specification sheets, assist in point configuration and design of user interface graphics for DCS, SIS and PLC control systems.
- Support field surveys; assist with installations and system checkouts of control systems.
Basic Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor of Science Engineering degree and 7 years of experience in control system automation engineering projects in the oil and gas, refining, and/or petro-chemical industries.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in scope definition and execution for front end study and detail implementation
- Experience in field instrumentation specification and signal wiring design
- Strong Communication skills
- Self Motivated and innovative
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills along with attention to detail are essential.
Preferred skills and experience:
- Prefer Electrical or Chemical Engineering degree
- Prefer experience in control systems modernization projects
- Proficient in DeltaV, Honeywell PKS and/or Foxboro systems
Work location: Bloomington, MN 55425 (would also consider someone in Houston, TX 77072, Baton Rouge, LA 70810, Corpus Christi, TX 78401)
Contract duration: Contract to direct
Pay rate: Open - DOE
