Intermediate Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing

Our Client is a major, experienced supplier of pigging valves, pigs and other pipeline pigging equipment for the oil and gas industry. They pride themselves on manufacturing to the highest standards of quality and deliver efficiently worldwide.

They currently require a Mechanical Engineer for their Edmonton Manufacturing Facility.

Responsibilities:
•Project management of new product development and product improvements.
•Perform Engineering tasks on such software as Solidworks, Cosmos and Algare
•Perform in-house testing and prepare technical documentations.
•Maintain engineering drawings, bill of materials and specification.
•Provide technical and design support to sales, customer service, customers, production, service, marketing and research and development personnel.
•Provide Mechanical Engineering input and recommendations to manufacturing work-team.

Qualifications:
The Mechanical Engineer will possess a combination of the following skills and experience:
•A Post Secondary Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering
•Registered with APEGGA as a P.Eng. or be eligible.
•Experience in design of pig valves or oil field related equipment a definite asset
•Working knowledge in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
•Excellent planning and time management skills.
•Strong organizational skills.
•Strong computer skill with working knowledge of Solid Works, Cosmos and Algare an asset
•Excellent communication skills and ability to pay attention to details.
*Strong supervisory skills - (Leading a team of 2 or more)
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
