Job Description Assisting with the final design, calculations and plan development, reviewing of field information, and possible field inspection of existing facilities. Interns are assigned to the structural department. Structural assignments will involve the design and analysis of bridges, building structures and other transportation related facilities. Intern will see the detailed plan development for all phases of a project. All positions will incorporate the use of CADD, a variety of design software packages and MS Office applications. General office administration, including report reproduction, collation and deliveries will also be expected. All of this work is consistent with the duties of an entry level, degreed engineer's responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Enthusiastic individuals eager to face new challenges and take on personal responsibilities are best qualified to meet the demands of this work. An intern is expected to be able to apply technical training to develop solutions, be willing to work and learn new skills. Computer literacy and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly are a requirement. AutoCAD experience is a plus but not required. The person must be able to adjust to short term assignments as well as remain dedicated to long term projects.
