Intern - Logistics

Responsibilities: Your internship will touch on as many of the components of Supply Chain, from negotiation tactics to working with varied cultures to an understanding of the varied dynamics that go into managing a global supply system. Supplier management - Assist supply chain personnel with all aspects of managing global supply Collaborate with demand management personnel to validate customer demand, evaluate supply options, analyze supply/demand balance, etc. Work with engineers on the development and refinement of innovative products and features and aligning those products with the supply base. Understanding new product cost targets based on negotiation, target pricing, competitive landscape, profit margin requirements, etc.. Inventory Management - Assist in inventory analysis to ensure appropriate balance to achieve service level targets. Understanding setting of inventory targets and managing to those targets. Analyze excess and active inventory as well as assist in driving actions to balance. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Qualification Requirements: Entering or currently in junior or senior year of college as of May 31, 2012 majoring in Supply Chain or equivalent Strong personal initiative, communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment GPA 3.0 cumulative Physical Demand and Work Environment: Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Working in an office environment setting for long periods of time.
