Intern - Human Resources

Must be a full-time student at the time of internship ? Undergrad (junior or senior) pursuing a degree in Human Resources or equivalent; ? Prior experience with customer service and/or support ? Strong verbal and written communication skills ? Ability to work independently ? Appropriately handle and maintain confidential information ? Strong PC skills including MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint) ? Highly organized and effectively able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment ? Ability to pay close attention to detail. Other Preferences ? Prefer a student pursuing a degree in Human Resources or Industrial/Labor Relations. ? Preferred: GPA 3.0 or higher Responsibilities Actively network with HR professionals; identify alternative recruitment methods; and assist with pre-screening qualified candidates for vacant positions. Other HR projects will be assigned ? Identify multiple recruiting sources for diversity and college recruiting ? Research organizations and associations for a potential candidate pool ? Attend recruiting events job/career fairs, open houses as an active participant ? Develop relationships with colleges for future interns, co-ops and graduates ? Meet diversity goals by identifying diverse recruiting sources for job openings ? Participate in phone screens and surveys ~~ print online applications/resumes ? Analyze and report on current recruiting sources and their effectiveness ? Create new hire packets ? New Hire files/term files established and filed within 7 calendar days of NHO ? Provide administrative support in staffing process. ? Other Administrative Tasks as assigned
