Position Description

The Boeing Company, Space Exploration Division, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is the leading global supplier of reusable and human space systems and services. Boeing designs, develops, builds, and operates human and robotic space vehicles as well as supporting hardware. Boeing Houston is currently searching for a local business student to fill an intern position to support the Supplier Management and Procurement organization. This internship position is designed to expose students to real world experiences. The intern will work with a supplier management and procurement mentor to learn about supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations. Under direct supervision, the intern will work with supplier management and procurement personnel to support the monitoring of supplier quality, delivery and financial performance to identify potential risks, issues and opportunities, to develop and execute supply base plans and to integrate with customer, program and commodity strategies. The intern candidate will participates in business and costs savings initiatives and supplier and business improvement activities. The intern will serve under supervision for a specified period within the occupation and skill area that directly relates to their college degree.
