No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description Summer Intern Provisioning Specialist, May - Aug 2012: Working with the Chinook Spares Engineering Team in Philadelphia, PA to produce Provisioning Technical Documentation in support of US Army supply chain logistics. Primary responsibility will be to work in an inclusive work environment to learn the analysis of engineering data and change proposals for spares engineering impacts and incorporate those approved changes into the provisioning database. Investigate, analyze and document data for spares provisioning requirements by using provisioning statements, engineering drawings, specifications, regulations, and field experience. Support the preparation of documents, provisioning plans, maintenance plans, support plans, and briefings while adhering to policies and procedures. Gain and apply knowledge of individual customer requirements, supplier capabilities, product configuration, maintenance manuals, warranty policies and procedures. The candidate will interface with customers, equipment suppliers, and company engineering and manufacturing organizations to ensure accurate delivery of spares engineering products. Will work as part of a diverse team, where differences are valued and varied viewpoints and experiences are encouraged. Communication and input are encouraged in order to apply knowledge of customer support and company processes in a diverse workplace. Knowledge of common engineering practices and supply chain basics is a plus. Basic Qualifications For Consideration Are you currently enrolled at a college or university in an Engineering or Supply Chain Management program? Do you have education/training and/or work experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel and/or Outlook)? Typical Education/Experience High school diploma or GED. Other Job related information Some familiarity with supply chain and logistics; business processes; cengineering configuration management a plus. An understanding of Supply Chain Management concepts is helpful. Strong interpersonal and communications skills required.
