Job Description: Position Responsibilities: Work assignments vary within each engineering department, but are designed so that they can be completed during the summer intern employee's tenure, given their level of education experience. Examples of projects areas and activities include: piping design, structural design, electrical design, software design, manufacturing design, procurement engineering, nuclear safety, and process engineering activities. Required Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program as a rising sophomore or above or Masters degree program in a related Engineering field to the position assigned. Assignments may be Electrical Engineering Intern, IC Engineering Intern, Mechanical Engineering Intern, Civil Engineering Intern, Chemical Engineering Intern, Nuclear Engineering Intern, Manufacturing Engineering Intern. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance. Desired Qualifications: 1. Understanding of applicable engineering fundamentals for engineering discipline sought. 2. Must be organized and have the ability to interact with immediate team members and cross discipline team members in an efficient and effective manner. 3. Experience with Microsoft Office applications and other appropriate engineering software as defined by engineering discipline. 4. Ability to follow direction and requirements of work. Ability to take initiative to facilitate action where appropriate. 5.
