Shire is seeking either a recent Graduate or a Degree student looking for a Sandwich year placement to join our Corporate Communications Team for a fixed term duration of one year.
This is a great opportunity to assist in developing Shire's digital communications presence for the corporate brand and company wide communications. You will also help to maintain and improve the company intranet through creative thinking and provide guidance to internal web authors based on your knowledge and Shire policy.
You will also be involved in developing and maintaining Shire's growing video and image archive system as well as seeking new stories within the business and write short articles for a range of Shire's internal publications.
As part of this role it will be essential for you to be proficient at cross functional communications and be able to evidence strong overall communication and influencing skills which will help you build relationships both internally and external to Shire.
You will also be required to work effectively within policy and governance structures in place for the website and intranet and therefore a willingness to work within a defined structure and an attention to detail is an absolute requirement for this role.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Intern, or recent graduate, at University or college.
• Candidate degree preferably in Media, Communications or eMarketing.
• A strong personality and desire to work effectively within a team environment
