Summer Intern - Radford, Framingham, MA
The intern will be primarily involved in supporting executive compensation consulting engagements. The individual conducts research and produces evaluative reports of corporate financial performance and executive compensation practices among both publicly-held and private companies based on annual reports, proxy statements and other published and proprietary sources. The analyst performs extensive computer-based financial and statistical analyses, which are incorporated into project findings and recommendations delivered in client presentations at the senior management and board of directors levels.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration (e.g., accounting, economics, finance or statistics).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Researches and analyzes competitive compensation practices in the labor market
- Performs specialized research studies on a range of compensation topics, as specifically assigned; analyzes and interprets data and prepares summary reports.
- Maintains and updates compensation databases.
- Provides routine, day-to-day support to consultants regarding the interpretation of data and findings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; must be able to identify problems and solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong research, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong computer skills, including: Excel spreadsheets, database management, word processing, PowerPoint, e-mail, and the internet.
