Position Description
A Boeing Test and Evaluation Manufacturing Engineer (ME) responsibilities include: Development and implementation of work instruction documents used during the manufacture, assembly and installation of test components necessary for configuring an experimental flight test aircraft prior to and during the conduct of flight test activities. ME's may participate as members of Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to support the integration of technical solutions across multiple disciplines including; test support operations, flight test operations, lab test operations, ground test operations, and wind tunnel testing. ME's assists in the development of detail manufacturing, test procedures, flight configuration changes, and instrumentation configuration definition as required to perform tests within the constraints of a test plan. ME's support the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for flight test configuration and test article installation. ME's participate in the implementation of lean principles and technologies. Intern serves under supervision for a specified period within the occupation and skill area that directly relates to their college engineering degree.
