At the end of the Internship, the intern would have learned about the various activities involved in project management business analysis. Essential Functions Health Plan Testing Services provides testing and software quality assurance for Kaiser Permanente's application development teams supporting the Health Plan. We work with multiple technologies and have leading-edge tools to support our efforts. Intern will be a part of the team that is standardizing our testing practices across the Health Plan Testing Services organization. Good understanding of project management, human change management, and business analysis skills. Understanding of LEAN principles will be useful. Health Plan Testing Services is implementing an internal tool for its management team to plan staff time and the activities/projects they will be assigned to. The intern will develop reporting and analytical tools to assist the leadership time in understand resource gaps and opportunities. Understanding of Excel, MS Access and SQL databases will be useful. Competencies and Skills the Intern will learn: - Ability to analyze a business problem, design solutions, and implement them. - They will work with a national team and will gain the skills to build relationships with remote team members. OREGON 5800 SW Meadows Qualifications: Basic Qualifications - 2.8 GPA or higher - Academic students seeking professional training within a business corporate environment - Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Interested in learning about leadership and information technology Student should be in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or Operations and Technology Management program Self-motivated Quick-learner Reliable Dependable Preferred Qualifications - Students pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business or related degree with coursework in Information Systems. - Working knowledge of Access and/or SQL Database - Freshman or Sophomore college student with two or three summers remaining prior to graduation. - 6 to 12 months educational experience within coursework emphasizing specific technical or business curriculum.
