Job Summary:
The Internal Auditor provides an independent and objective assessment of internal controls, evaluates compliance to control systems through various types of audits, including assisting external auditors in year-end audits. Also performs due diligence, assists in audit planning, and other duties as assigned. The position is based in Salt Lake City, Utah and reports directly to the Internal Audit Manager.

Essential Functions:

·  Perform internal control reviews, systems documentation and testing, financial audits of Alsco branches in the U.S. and Canada, as well as follow-up procedures to ensure internal control systems are in place.

·  Assist in financial audits of diversified divisions.

·  Assist external auditors, KPMG, in year-end audits of consolidated financial statements.

·  Assist in yearly audit plan and coordination of audit coverage and risk assessment with independent auditors.

·  Create written reports and summaries, and present such. Follow direction of supervision, meet deadlines, perform at efficiency and safety expectations.

·  Perform potential international work in Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and Europe.

·  Evaluate and report the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems, including physical inventories.

·  Evaluate compliance with established Company policy and procedures, applicable laws.

·  Evaluate the reliability of financial reporting practices and the integrity of the underlying financial records.

·  Potential involvement in investigation of fraudulent activities.

·  Perform special internal audit services requested by the Audit Committee.

Additional Functions:

·  Perform CFO approved acquisition audits, occasional due diligence procedures related to acquisitions, and special projects.

·  Recommend controls and other actions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

Qualifications:

·  Good understanding of business systems and GAAP practices.

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

·  Good working knowledge and skill in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

·  Ability to manage conflict and successfully build good relationships.

·  Excellent skills and experience in evaluating, analyzing, interpreting, reasoning and making conclusions of data.

·  Ability to obtain and keep a current Passport that will allow exit and entry to the United States, and a valid license to drive.


Education:  

·  Bachelors Degree with a preference in business or related field.

Travel Requirements:

·  Frequently, 30% annual overnight travel in or outside of the United States.

Typical Environmental Conditions:

·  Typical indoor office environment.

·  Indoor and outdoor areas of a typical industrial facility.
