A leading Engineering and Infrastructure business is looking to hire the markets best Internal Audit talent to augment their high performing Audit business.
A Global engineering and infrastructure group is looking to hire the markets best Audit talent to join their Sydney office. The successful candidate will represent the Group Internal Audit team in providing independent assessment, reporting and review findings to the wider business.
Further to this Business Process Improvement is a key focus and you will consult and pro-actively support Management in their implementation of changes.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit reviews
To be a solid participant in planned audit assignments using the Group Internal Audit methodology comprising the key phases of Planning, Execution and Reporting.
Planning
Contribute to the project planning and scoping and participate in scoping discussions and meetings with stakeholders
Execution
Conduct field work in accordance with work programme and the Group Internal Audit methodology
Reporting
Ensure risks identified are accurate and recommendations are suitable
Management Action Plans
Incorporate the finalised Management Action Plans into the Internal Audit tracking tool
Process Improvement Initiatives
In addition to the three key phases of the audit review the Group Internal Auditor will actively consult with the business to ensure Audit findings are being actioned and improvements are being implemented.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree Qualified (financial accounting or relevant Business degree)
Chartered accountant (CA) or (CPA) - 5+ years' experience within Audit environment (Internal Audit or Financial Statement Audit)
- 3+ years' experience within a 'Big 4' chartered firm.
- Experience within either an Engineering/Infrastructure business or Commercial business.
This role will ideally suit an ambitious individual (likely to be currently in or having just left chartered) with a solid understanding of internal controls over financial accounting and reporting; and experience in internal audit.
