Risk Capital Modelling - Internal Audit Manager

One of my clients, a top-tier bank based in London City, is looking to add a highly specialised risk capital modelling SME to their internal audit function. Due to ever-evolving pressure from the regulators and an increased workload in the audit function, they are looking to expand their audit function with SMEs from within the business that can apply deep technical knowledge from an audit perspective.

In this role, you will act as an SME for risk capital management and modelling within internal audit, providing analytical insight on the key risks the business faces and improvements to controls procedures. You will carve relationships with key stakeholders across the business, being involved in planning, managing and executing audits in line with the company’s internal audit methodology and standards. Your audit scope will cover risk assessment, firm-wide integrated stress-testing, ICAAP (Internal Capital Adequacy and Assessment Process), risk management and risk reporting.

Requirements for the role:

• At least 5-7 years of overall experience across relevant areas
• Excellent knowledge of the regulation around capital requirements related to risk models
• Strong understanding of Basel II (especially Pillar 1, 2, 3)
• Experience in integrated stress testing, economic capital and ICAAP
• Understanding of risk assessment and risk reporting (on the enterprise level)
• Experience in risk management across investment banking across products such as fixed income, equities and FX
• Fantastic communication skills (written and spoken) and an ability to comfortably liaise with key senior stakeholders around the business/globe
• Fluency in English is mandatory for this role
