Internal Audit Manager (Part Time)

£66,000 - £80,000 pro rata
To provide support in the execution of the annually agreed Internal Audit plan including adopting a risk based approach in the review and testing of the financial, operational, IT and regulatory processes and controls and report results to management and the Board of the business.
- To provide support in the monitoring and maintenance of the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) key control documentation for the business, in the testing of key controls and in the identification and subsequent monitoring of deficiencies.
- To support and perform specific audit and review functions in relation to financial and operational areas in conjunction with risk assessments.
- Provide support to the Senior Internal Audit Manager in the management and execution of the Corporate Audit Department's SOX initiative based on guidance and direction from business and the CFO. Responsibilities include consulting with management on new or existing internal control processes.
- Responsibilities will also include maintenance of related SOX software tool, assisting with the production of Risk MI related to the audit function. Monitor control weakness and remediation plans both internally and externally identified.
The Candidate
- 4+ years accounting background in conducting audits and familiarity with accounting processes and standards
- Insurance audit experience would be beneficial.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and projects
- Able to operate at a tactical level to achieve the objective
- Strong report writing skills
