Exceptional job opportunity for a practice trained qualified (ACA, ACCA, IIA, CIA) Auditor with a strong blue-chip External Audit experience to join this fantastic financial services business based in Bournemouth area.
This role will involve a proportion of travel on a UK and International basis across EMEA - approximately 25-30% each year.
Participate in audit engagements and be involved in risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, report drafting, and follow up and verification of issue closure.
Ensure audit work is carried out in line with professional standards and departmental procedures.
Partner with colleagues and stakeholders to evaluate, test and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls, and make appropriate recommendations for improvement.
Monitor key risk indicators and significant change activities and escalate emerging issues to senior management.
Develop and maintain business relationships to monitor changes in the control environment.
Stay up to date with evolving industry and regulatory changes impacting the business.
Perform as an effective member of a team to ensure audit work is delivered on time and within agreed budgets
Travel to overseas business locations as required, approximately 20-30 per cent should be anticipated.
Qualifications
Education to degree standard is preferable, as is a relevant professional qualification.
ACA, ACCA, IIA, CIA
Knowledge and, preferably, experience of relevant market areas -ie financial services.
Specific experience in auditing significant business/technology change activities and business expansion is desired
Excellent teamwork skills.
Demonstrated solid understanding of internal control concepts and strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex and sensitive issues to management in a persuasive manner.
Enthusiastic, self motivated, effective under pressure and willing to take risk and accountability.
