Internal Auditor – Issues Assurance and Analysis Team recruitment
Group Internal Audit (GIA) is an independent and objective function that supports the firm in achieving its defined strategic, operational, financial and compliance objectives by providing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.
We are looking for outstanding professionals to join the UBS GIA Issues Assurance and Analysis team. The successful applicants will join this newly created team, formed as a result of GIA taking a more prominent role in monitoring and assuring the successful remediation of issues raised by any source. You will gain exposure to various products, processes, stakeholders, risks, controls and issues across the firm as a whole. Specifically:
- Developing bespoke plans to provide independent assurance over the closure of the most important issues facing the firm
- Coordinating / executing the detailed testing work required to support issue closure
- Playing a leading role in driving through the necessary process and system changes to support the expansion of GIAs issue assurance role
- Preparing reports of issue assurance work for UBS senior management at global, functional and Group level
Key skills requirements for the role include:
- Strong knowledge and experience of products, risks, controls and regulatory environments across investment banking, wealth management and asset management
- Demonstrates leadership and diligence, is proactive and driven, and initiates organisational change to achieve a practical, commercial and efficient control environment
- Excellent influencing and communication skills, demonstrating a high level of listening skills, capable of concise presentation of complex material, with the ability to think on the spot, matched with first class project management and report writing skills
- University Degree or equivalent, accountancy qualification, post qualified experience as an internal auditor or relevant audit experience in financial services
- Audit experience should include all audit processes, including risk assessment, planning, execution, and reporting
- Personable team player capable of working with global team members located across different locations, demonstrating balance, good-humour and sound judgement
