Internal Auditor recruitment
We have an opportunity for an experienced Internal Auditor to become an integral part of our client's successful audit team. Our client is a global provider of specialty insurance products, based in the City of London.
The primary purpose of the internal auditor is to support internal audit work for the group. Specific responsibilities will be to assist with the performance of the group's internal audit function, in particular:
-Assist with the group internal audit functional administrative duties
-Liaise as required with co-sourced internal audit resources
-Assist with the maintenance of the group's written internal audit procedures in line with professional standards
-Assist with the completion of internal audits in accordance with the plan
-Ensure that comprehensive audit working papers are maintained in respect of each audit completed
-Assist with the follow-up of outstanding audit recommendations
-Provide administrative support for the drafting of regular reports
-Assist with the production of management information
The successful internal auditor will ideally possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
-Newly-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA or CMA)
-Solid relevant auditing experience gained in an insurance/reinsurance environment
-Ability to develop and maintain relationships with personnel on all levels
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Must have excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on one's own initiative
An understanding of the requirements of Solvency II would be an advantage for this internal audit position.
