Internal Communications Officer in Bristol (UK-wide travel required)

This organisation is the UK's leading operator of purpose built student accommodation with over 130 properties across 24 of the UK's strongest university cities. They are now looking for an Internal Communications Officer to work from their Bristol office.

TITLE: Internal Communications Officer
LOCATION: Bristol; must be willing to travel UK-wide
SALARY: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum

The 'must-haves' for this Internal Communications Officer role:
• Evidence of communicating with various internal audiences and across multiple sites, in a Plc. environment
• Evidence of writing for internal communication tools such as newsletter and intranet, and excellent writing and editorial skills
• Evidence of being involved in organising multi-site events
• Able to work in (or willing to relocate to) Bristol
• Experience of business change in a customer-focused organisation
• Well-developed interpersonal skills

Desirable candidates for this Internal Communications Officer position will also be educated to degree level (or equivalent), with previous experience in new media tools and online applications

Key areas of accountability as an Internal Communications Officer:
• To reinforce the Group's mission, vision and values across the organisation through consistent internal messaging
• To support the Head of Internal Communications in the delivery of an internal communications programme, aligned to business strategy, and to ensure corporate messages are effectively translated across the organisation for each target audience
• To act as an expert facilitator in the coordination and production of relevant, timely and high quality communication materials for use by business units and functions to disseminate information effectively and improve employee engagement
• To support the Head of Internal Communications in planning, communicating and delivering online communications via the company's intranet and newsletter
• To support the Head of Internal Communications in planning, communicating and delivering major employee briefing initiatives across the organisation, such as business updates, conferences, recognition events and roadshows, and to coordinate and manage the organisation of these events
• To support the Head of Internal Communications in embedding the necessary skills and capability in their people to support line manager communications, both one-to-one and team events
• To support the development of new and improved communications channels and solutions
• To collate and monitor all internal communications feedback
