Internal Controls Manager

The role of Internal Controls Manager will include:
You will be working closely with the Internal Control Director in the establishment and integration of the Internal Control Framework forthe corporate Bank Operations and specifically Global Payments.
The Global Payments Internal Control team is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the control environment for all of the Global Payments functions performed across a number of locations in the UK and offshore, as well as payments processing in non GP locations.
You will take the lead in ensuring all payments risks are adequately protected, in particular the authenticity and accuracy of payments (to protect against internal fraud) across Global Payments and the wider business. Your role will also be to provide creativity and thought leadership in leading the team (both direct reports, and indirect across the business) to identify as well as resolve group wide issues.

- Manage the performance of direct reports and champion the performance development process for the entire team.

You will have :
- Detailed working knowledge of operational risk control processes and practices, including experience in their application
- Detailed knowledge of Operational Rigour-Testing Frameworks and practices
- Proven experience in design and testing of controls
- Experience of the UK Banking industry and familiarity with associated governance and regulatory control frameworks
Ideally you will also have:
- Knowledge of payments processes and fraud risk management
- Broad knowledge of relevant regulatory environment
