We serve all intermediary markets including broker/dealers, bank/private wealth, registered investment advisors, institutional, and insurance companies, this Internal Sales Desk Manager position will cover internal oversight for all target markets. As an Internal Sales Desk Manager, you will manage, develop, and lead a group of internal sales consultants through a targeted consultative sales approach while cultivating a tight partnership with respective external sales teams.
Your primary duties and responsibilities:
- Sets performance standards, review performance, provide regular and ongoing feedback.
- Assists in the development of sales goals and marketing campaigns.
- Analyzes client feedback, market trends, and opportunities for change. Initiates and manages process changes to ensure a high level of efficiency in terms of quality and productivity.
- Analyzes inbound and outbound call statistics and client feedback to prepare management reports ongoing. Uses available data to monitor problems and measure success of the team and the business.
- Supports the external sales executives by participating in prospective new client meetings, conference support, and preparation for external meetings, as needed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Undergraduate degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Series 7, 24, 63 or ability to acquire within 6 months.
- Thorough knowledge of Vanguard's funds and services preferred. Strong knowledge of the competitive environment preferred.
- Ability to drive sales through others. Sets high performance standards and executes against standards utilizing exemplary consultative selling coaching skills.
- Strong business acumen and executive sales presence including the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
- Ability to effectively partner with others to develop, maintain and broaden relationships and business opportunity.
- Ability to be creative in developing strategies and tactics to expand distribution opportunities with organizations that will maximize Vanguard¿s exposure.
- Deep technical aptitude of the capital markets, investment management industry and related trends to position Vanguard products and services effectively.
- Genuine professional characteristics reflecting curiosity, empathy, and enthusiasm coupled with a solution-based drive to meet highly accountable results.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong sales and influence skills. Demonstrated people, client and project management skills.
- Minimum of five years related experience.
- Previous call center supervision preferred.
- Strict adherence to Vanguard's Code of Ethics.
