Internal Sales Engineer Job in Cheshire, North West UK

Our Client, a well established manufacturer of products supplied into the Oil and Gas industries now has an excellent opportunity for an Internal Sales Engineer to join their team in Cheshire.

As Internal Sales Engineer your role will be to exceed customer expectations with technically and commercially attractive bespoke quotations, whilst securing orders and profitable growth inline with the company's aggressive sales strategies and targets.

Duties within the role will include:

Responding verbally and/or in writing to all customer enquiries and progressing orders in a timely and professional manner

Evaluating each enquiry technically and commercially in order to offer the correct product(s) to meet customer requirements.

Liaising with other departments where necessary ensuring that the customers needs are met whilst also ensuring that the company produce products that are both economically and technically viable.

Evaluating best delivery dates that can be realistically achieved, utilising stock products wherever possible and liaising with other departments mainly production and purchasing.

Providing support for the external sales force and distributors worldwide, ensuring they are updated with information regarding customer activity, project information etc.  Providing quotations, costing and delivery information as required to secure potential orders.

Preparing costing sheets for those items not covered within a standard cost matrix.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a sales role, ideally within an engineering background along with hands on commercial experience gained in an engineering/technical business. Additionally you will demonstrate strong commercial acumen combined with an ability to grasp and understand.
