Founded in 2006, Chemique Inc. is a subsidiary of Chemique Adhesives and Sealants Ltd in the UK.  The UK business was founded in 1985 and is a manufacturer of speciality adhesives for the industrial and construction markets.

 

Following a number of years of success selling in to the US market, it was decided to form Chemique Inc. in 2006, with the first office and warehouse facility being opened in Atlanta, GA.  The company moved to newer and larger premises in Kennesaw GA in 2010.

 

Currently operating in the US with a sales support administration and direct sales team, the objective of the business is to build the company to a desired level to invest in a manufacturing facility in the US.

 

The business currently promotes and sells a small cross section of the Chemique Group Brands and is looking to expand and introduce more of these in the next twelve months.

 

 

The Role

 

To aid business growth and give a greater focus on customer service and increase sales potential, the company are now looking to appoint an Internal Sales Executive at our Kennasaw, GA, office, with potential future development for an external sales role covering the South East a possibility.

 

The main focus of the role will be to build up solid relationships with current customers, offering support for both our adhesive and application engineering products.  There will also be some account management of local area key customers and the development of sales across the US in specific market sectors via telephone.

  

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Liaison with external customers with regard to order status and forward order requirement.

·         Liaison with Chemique sales team and agents on order status and requirements.

·         Responsibility for upkeep and updating of the US CRM package (Salesforce).

·         Implementation of a customer call programme for all customers outside of designated sales territories.

·         Responsibility for the development of sales leads and potentials.

·         Account Management of some local (GA) Chemique customers.

·         Customer liaison to assist with any problems and issues they may be experiencing with engineering and application equipment.

 

 

Skills and Requirements

 

·         Internal sales support role experience within a mechanical engineering company.

·         Highly motivated self starter.

·         Ability to generate own leads and comfortable with cold calling approach to open doors.

·         Account management skills.

·         Willingness to travel as required.

·         Computer literate.  Training will be given on CRM package currently used, however, previous use of Salesforce package would be desirable.

·         Though not essential, previous experience of working for a European company would be an advantage.

·         Desire to progress in to a more external sales role over time.
