Internal Sales VP and Regional Consultant, Intermediary Channel

Altegris is in a very exciting growth phase and is searching for a talented and motivated Internal Sales Vice President and Regional Consultant to be an integral member of the Sales Team for the intermediary channel. The right candidate must have the temperament to thrive in our high-velocity, demanding business culture and enjoy interacting with high-octane, committed co-workers who enjoy working together, value collaboration, and are passionate about providing our clients with access to some of the best investment managers in the alternatives industry.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Raising assets in our Intermediary Channel by contacting and qualifying financial advisors, as well as actively networking with existing clients to identify prospects in the territory
Working closely with an external Regional Director to conduct territory analysis and business planning to maximize goals in the territory
Following up after the Regional Director’s initial sales visits, including:

Providing financial advisors with database access
Answering financial advisors’ questions, providing education and “white-glove” support
Closing sales

Scheduling phone and onsite meetings for the Regional Director
Developing a structured call schedule
Building custom portfolios of investment products using our proprietary software
Demonstrating extensive knowledge of how products on the Altegris platform may complement other investment products
Ensuring that all logistical/operational details necessary for sales are handled effectively
Requirements:

2+ years of verifiable sales success as an internal wholesaler
Strong ability to analyze asset-allocation strategies
Knowledge of alternative investments
Excellent computer skills
Bachelor’s degree
Series 7 (or 6 and 22), 3, 63 or 66 licenses

 

PREFERRED

Managed futures and/or hedge-fund experience
CAIA, CIMA, or CFA
