Position Summary
As the Internal Wholesaler you will work cohesively with an external Regional Vice President to build and maintain relationships and ultimately drive sales with IMOs, Agencies, Producers and Agents. An Internal Wholesaler must maintain an extraordinary level of expertise about our customers and the insurance industry. Internally you will manage the flow of business alongside a designated internal operations team to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner. Internal wholesalers will also be primarily responsible for territory and database management for their region.

Organization Structure and Interface
This position will report to the Director of Internal Wholesaling. You will also work closely with our operations department, marketing department and advanced markets group.

Performance Objectives
This position will be responsible for:
-Making daily proactive, outbound telephone sales calls to IMOs, agencies and producers to discuss agency niche opportunities, challenges, product solutions, sales ideas and advanced sales concepts to drive and increase sales in designated region.
-Partner effectively with Regional Vice President to develop the regional business plan and execute to meet plan.
-Maintain familiarity with competition and be able to capitalize on opportunities to persuade on American General-s competitiveness.
-Maintain client management database to ensure proper contact information, sales tracking and sales activities.
-Travel into the designated region four times per year to deliver sales concepts, product information and technical guidance face to face.

Position Requirements
The Ideal Candidate Should Have
-Two or more years of life insurance sales experience.
-Well versed in the structure of NMOs, MOs and IMOs.
-Strong consultative selling skills.
-Previous experience in a high volume outbound call environment.
-Excellent negotiating skills.
-Ability to explain intricate insurance concepts over the phone or by email.
-Bachelor-s degree a plus.
